Hey there!
My name is Shane Zach, and I am the artist/creator behind Freshwater Jade.
I am a self taught lapidary artist and Jade carver. I started carving bone and Jade in 2012, and have been pursuing that passion ever since. My interest in Jade has taken me around the world in pursuit of knowledge, materials, and those who share my love of Jade.
My work encompasses a great many styles and forms. Not only do I create one of a kind jewelry pieces (earrings, pendants, bracelets, and beads), I also find my work encompassing tools such as knitting needles, massagers, and whiskey stones! I love the versatility and endless possibilities that Jade provides.
I am an avid hiker and diver, and find great inspiration in the outdoors. Many of my designs are drawn from nature. In fact, the name Freshwater Jade, is derived from my childhood visiting the numerous lakes and rivers in Wisconsin and taking in all the beauty that they behold.
I find immense joy in creating jewelry that makes people feel beautiful. I started carving to create unique work for myself, and now I have to privilege of sharing it with you!
